The V - Guru

The V – Guru TM ( ) is a Web-based Virtual Learning Environment developed in India by the Green Valley Research Foundation,Coimbatore which was officially inaugurated on 27th December 2009 by Shri.A.Raja Hon. Minister for Communications, Government of India with the aim of allowing faculty to make their own course or module. Using a password, students can access V – Guru virtual class courses from any location with a connection to the Internet, allowing them to undertake independent learning at their own pace and time. Within V - Guru there are a number of facilities available for students to choose from and these are represented by a series of buttons (see figure 1). By selecting which sections to make available it is possible to customize the interface and the learning experience.
For an effective and optimum development of both textual and visual e-content material certain specific guidelines are followed in the V – Guru. These guidelines have several components. These are listed below along with brief descriptions of each with the respective templates used. All these are integrated in to the V – Guru TM e- content design they are:
